April is here.  We have just held the new officer elections and turned in the fur for auction.  This is the farthest we will be from trapping.  My thoughts are turning to spring bass and those delicious tog!  The lilacs are ready to bloom so they should be biting.

  • Our spring meeting was a good one.  Attendees were up to about 30 people.  Most had something to say and all input was appreciated.  We heard from Andrew Burnett, the NJDEP Fur Biologist about 2009-2010 trapping statistics and changes that are being considered and proposals sent to the commision for the 2011 - 2012 trapping season.

  • NJFH also elected a new slate of officers.  This promises to be interesting at the very least.
